Self-modeling updates

Our latest study to try to promote social interactions on the playground raises many more questions than it answers. In a study we did 2 years ago we found VSM to be very effective with 4 yr olds with moderate to severe autism. We decided to try to replicate the study with slightly younger children (@ 6 mos younger). With this group of 3 students the results were almost nil. Even after showing videos a 2nd time, after the children turned 4, we saw no changes. Was it the age? Did the latter group have characteristics that worked against success? Was the behavior of initiating appropriately inappropriate? Still many questions to answer.

VSM Testimonial Page

One of the pages on the VSM site is dedicated to testimonials. We are not only interested in success stories, rather we’d like to gather all types of information. What worked? What didn’t? What behaviors were involved? What content was on the video? and anything else that might be useful to other users. Let others know about your experiences. Thanks!! TB

Oh, good enough data related to this post. Would please say me how much time it could take? Just because I am going to do some dissertation structure or probably it will be much better to select the thesis writing. Thank you so much.

  4. Generally I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so! really nice post.

  5. Tom,
I am so glad to see your site up and growing. This is the type of information parents require but can not find elsewhere. Thank you for providing an informational platform. I hope you will recommend some of the responses you receive to the collaboration of researchers, parents and administrators supporting the use of video modeling.
