Please join us for an upcoming Siskin Family Association meeting at ELC-EB on Thursday, May 17 at 6 p.m. Besty Peters, curriculum and instructional coordinator at the Institute, will present information regarding the use of iPads in ELC classrooms. Parents will learn about the apps that are going to be available for their children and how to use them.

Susan O’Hare, Bill Wilder and JoAnn Yates were all sworn into their positions at the board’s March 16 meeting. Read about the full board here. Ms. O’Hare comes to the Institute with a wide breadth of experience in pediatric healthcare. She has served as CEO of a children’s hospital and has managed a multi-specialty physician practice. Mr. Wilder has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He serves currently as agency manager and vice president of BB&T Huffaker and Trimble in downtown

The board is chaired by Wells Fargo Advsiors Director of Investments Ward Petty, who served previously as vice chair of the board. He replaces David I. Binder, who now holds the position of immediate past chair. Siskin Children's Institute board members are appointed for three-year terms. There are now 20 members on the board.
