February is Read Across America month, a yearly initiative sponsored by the National Education Association to increase literacy nationwide. Read Across America Month culminates on March 2, the birthdate of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.

The Institute is participating in Read Across America again this year with a "reading caterpillar" which is stretching through the halls of the Early Learning Centers. The caterpillar is growing daily as each segment lists a book that a child at the Institute has read, has had read to him or her or that an Institute parent or staff member has read this month.
