07/07/11 - Former daycare assistant gets dream wish at Siskin Children's Institute
Stephanie Dillard, a resident of St. Barnabas, visited Siskin Children’s Institute on Friday to spend the morning with children in classrooms 3 and 4. Ms. Dillard, 49, who experienced a stroke more than eight years ago, was a daycare assistant before her health issues began. Since her stroke, she has missed her time spent with children and chose a day at the Institute when asked to make a wish as part of St. Barnabas’ DreamMaker program. The DreamMakers Program, created in January 2011 by the St. Barnabas Quality of Life Department (QoL), fulfills the dormant wishes of residents.
