08/15/11 - StarNight attendees meet headliner Kenny Rogers
StarNight 2011 was a night to remember, filled with great dining, music and dancing at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Kenny Rogers put on an incredible show, featuring a blend of classic songs like "Lucille," "The Gambler" and "Islands in the Stream" and new music from his most recent album. The show was much more than a musical performance; Kenny engaged the crowd, telling personal stories about his years in the entertainment business and dedicating a song to his wife Wanda, who was in the audience, and to their seven year old twin sons Justin and Jordan. In a move reminiscent of Kenny's 2004 StarNight appearance, the entertainer rolled off 15 $100 bills as a donation to the Institute for each song that a hand-picked StarNight guest recognized. Several StarNight 2011 attendees met Kenny Rogers before the show. The photos are included on the Meet and Greet page of Kenny's official website. View the photos.
