Siskin Children’s Institute Expands to Educate More Children at Gunbarrel Facility

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Siskin Children’s Institute recently purchased a 15,000 square foot facility located in East Brainerd that will allow the organization to double its educational services for children of all abilities.

The facility, located at 1602 Gunbarrel Road, is currently a Kids R Kids franchise day care. Within 12 to 24 months, the Institute plans to open its first Siskin Learning Center at the facility, which will provide an inclusive learning experience for preschool children with disabilities, as well as typically developing children.

“The Siskin Learning Center is one of several new initiatives at Siskin Children's Institute that will allow us to further expand our services and to touch the lives of more children in the Chattanooga area,” said Institute President Jerry Jensen.

While the Institute finalizes plans for the program and develops its expansion strategy, the current daycare provider is expected to continue operating with its present leadership and staff.
