Date: Oct. 5, 2007 Chattanooga Flyers to Host a “Fun Fly” Benefiting Siskin Children’s Institute CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Radio Control Club will host a Fun Fly Day benefiting Siskin Children’s Institute Saturday, Oct. 27 at Summit Field near Collegedale, Tenn. The Fun Fly Day is an opportunity for model plane enthusiasts and spectators to enjoy a day of airborne antics and fun. Admission is $5 per car and the event is open to the public. Airborne activities begin at 10 a.m. and throughout the morning there will be candy drops, activities for children, basic flight maneuver shows and stunt flight shows. Guests will have an opportunity to fly a model aircraft, and concessions will be available. With more than 100 members ranging from ages 9 to 90, the Chattanooga Radio Control Club is a group of model aviation enthusiasts who pride themselves on flying just about anything that can be airborne. The club is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, which promotes model aviation as a healthy, family-oriented sport that instills positive values and enriches local communities.
