Date: April 2, 2008 Sugarland headlines Siskin Children’s Institute fundraiser CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Country music sensation Sugarland will headline StarNight 2008 benefiting Siskin Children's Institute. The Grammy-nominated band takes to the stage Saturday, August 16, at the Chattanooga Convention Center. About Sugarland Now their second album, Enjoy The Ride, has already sold more than two million copies with chart-topping hits “Everyday America”, “Settlin’” and “Stay.” The band recently won its biggest award yet: CMA’s “Duo of the Year” Award, breaking a six-year record held by Brooks and Dunn. Most recently, Sugarland received five nominations for the CMT Music Awards, which will be presented April 14 on CMT. “We were thrilled to book Sugarland,” said Alexis Bogo, who is co-chairing StarNight 2008 with her husband, Barry. “This band is huge right now, and we’re excited to bring them to Chattanooga for one of the city’s best parties.” About StarNight Guests can attend the entire black-tie gala, including the cocktail reception, dinner and musical performances with dancing, for $250 per person. Tables of eight range from $2,000 to $4,000. The Star Attraction option, offered at $100 per person, allows guests to arrive at 8:30 p.m. to enjoy Sugarland, as well as coffee, dessert and dancing.
