StyleWorks benefit fashion show set for May 1

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — From the latest fashion to the sincerest compassion, Chattanooga’s premier runway show returns for its 32nd year to benefit Siskin Children's Institute.

StyleWorks: fashion with compassion takes place Thursday, May 1, at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The event features a luncheon, shopping bazaar and summer fashion show sponsored by Belk.

The Event
StyleWorks begins at 9:30 a.m. with the opening of Marketplace, which showcases more than 30 booths offering goods and services from retailers, jewelers, schools, day spas and specialty service providers.

Marketplace remains open until 3 p.m. After a sit-down luncheon set for 11:30 a.m., attendees are escorted to an intimate New York-style runway setting for the fashion show. Professional models will strut the catwalk in the latest summer designs.

The Kids
The fashion show will conclude with children’s wear modeled by recent graduates of Siskin Early Learning Center-Downtown, an early childhood educational program of Siskin Children's Institute.

The Mission
Siskin Children's Institute improves the quality of life for children with special needs, their families and the professionals who touch their lives. The Institute is an educational outreach, health care and research facility that serves children with developmental delays, autism spectrum conditions, cerebral palsy and other disabilities, as well as typically developing children.

In the coming year, the Institute will do even more for children with special needs. Our new initiatives include:
-opening the second Siskin Early Learning Center, located in East Brainerd, for children of all abilities;
-developing the region’s first pediatric behavioral and development center for assessment, diagnosis, interventional and treatment; and
-creating an independent research facility focused on early childhood education.
