05/14/10 - Research director visits Portugal on scholarly visit

Director of the Siskin Center for Child and Family Research Robin McWilliam, Ph.D., is representing the Institute on a scholarly visit to three cities in Portugal from May 4 to May 10, with the following major activities:

May 4: Workshop for Lisbon area early intervention professionals on “Building Practices with Impact”

May 5: Consultation with NOS Early Intervention Program, Lisbon

May 6: Research consultation with faculty and doctoral students at the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada

May 7: Report from the national early intervention training group on progress following McWilliam’s planning with them two years ago (in Coimbra)

May 10: (a) Research consultation with faculty and doctoral students at the University of Porto, (b) speech on “Early Childhood Intervention: Out of Clinics and Into Natural Environments” at the University of Porto
