 Siskin Early Learning Centers offer a comprehensive support team for all our families within the context of naturally occurring classroom routines using an integrated teaching model.
Psychological Services
Psychological services include eligibility assessments and family counseling support.
Communication Services
Licensed speech and language pathologiestsprovide support in language, augmentative communication, picture exchange communication system(s), articulation, fluency, voice, oral motor, feeding and swallowing.
Physical Therapy Services
Licensed physical therapists provide assistance with adaptive equipment and orthopedic devices, environmental modifications and motor programming.
Occupational Therapy Services
Licensed occupational therapists may provide assistance with specialized adaptive equipment, as well as support for fine motor and environmental modifications to provide more independent access and engagement in activities.
Nursing Services
Licensed registered nurses provide general school health services, including tube feeding, catheterization, breathing treatments and administration of medication.
Nutrition Services
A licensed, registered dietitian manages the nutrition curriculum and food services and provides nutrition consultation for families, teachers, and other professionals.
Vision Services
Students over age two receive an annual functional vision screening, and results and recommendations are shared with the family.
Audiological and Hearing Services
Students receive an annual functional hearing screening. If indicated, direct or indirect audiological and/or hearing services may be recommended in order to support a child's program.
Siskin Early Learning Centers are funded through Siskin Children's Institute and through contracts with the State of Tennessee and the Hamilton County Department of Education.
