Admissions for Typically Developing Children

Typically developing children from ages 6 weeks to preschool are admitted to the Siskin Early Learning Centers through private enrollment by parents. We accept typically developing children from any county in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

Our Process for Enrollment
Thanks to the quality preschool education provided by the Siskin Early Learning Centers, the centers receive a high number of enrollment applications for typically developing children.

The centers maintain an applicant list to determine enrollment in our education programs. It is important for families to understand how our applicant list works. Instead of determining enrollment based solely on when families apply, other factors also are considered:

• When an opening arises, our staff refers to the applicant list to find a child who is the appropriate age, beginning with the earliest applications submitted.
• Priority is given to siblings of currently enrolled children.
• Preference is given to families who desire full-time placement.

Applicant lists are updated every semester for each of our centers. Parents are welcomed to contact us with questions about the status of their child's enrollment. Siskin Early Learning Centers are funded through Siskin Children's Institute, and through contracts with the State of Tennessee and the Hamilton County Department of Education.
