About Home-based Support and Services
The well-being of a child with autism is closely tied to how successfully the entire family is functioning. With this in mind, the district consultant's job is to provide emotional support to all family members. The consultant also ensures that the family's material needs are met and offers assistance when possible. The district consultant also provides informational support about child development, resources and interventions. Emotional, material and informational support focused on the needs of each family member empowers the family to make autism interventions a part of daily routines.
ESCALATE is funded in part through the Tennessee Department of Education via an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act federal award. Siskin Children's Institute seeks to affirm the dignity and worth of every person. It is, therefore, the policy of the Institute to practice and ensure the fair and equitable treatment of all constituents with respect to race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, political belief, socio-economic status, age, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. The Institute promotes the full realization of this policy through all organizational practices including admission and participation in programs and services. |
