Meet the Team

Robin McWilliam, Ph.D.

As Director of the Siskin Center for Child and Family Research, Dr. McWilliam oversees early intervention research, implementation of the Engagement Classroom Model in the Siskin Early Learning Centers, development of the ESCALATE program for children with autism or similar characteristics, outreach of recommended and evidence-based practices and many other activities. He is the Director of the Siskin Home- and Community-Based Early Intervention program, having developed the five-component model and written the book Routines-Based Early Intervention. Dr. McWilliam travels throughout the United States and overseas to provide technical assistance and training on this model.

Amy Jenkins, M.Ed.

Amy Jenkins is the coordinator of the Home –and Community-Based Early Intervention program.  She has six years of experience as a Service Coordinator for TEIS.  She also has six years experience as Director of local child care settings.  Amy is a National Certified Counselor.  She is responsible for oversight of the eight home visitors, supervising home visits, and assigning families to early interventionists.

Deidra Love

Deidra Love is the Early Intervention Behavior Specialist of the Home- and Community-Based Early Intervention program.  She has a bachelor’s degree and teaching license in early childhood education and has worked as both a classroom teacher and home-based early interventionist for more than 16 years. Deidra is in the final stage of completing her master’s degree in early childhood special education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and she has a passion for helping parents and caregivers understand their child’s behaviors and see themselves as confident, capable teachers of their children. In addition, Deidra also makes home visits to families and works with teachers in daycares & preschool settings.

Beth Oldham

Beth Oldham is the Early Intervention Community Resource Specialist of the Home- and Community-Based Intervention program. She is responsible for ensuring that Early Interventionists know about places and agencies that might help families as they provide learning opportunities to thier children and as they figure out how to manage their family lives. In addition, Beth also makes home visits to families.

Azusa Dance

As Research Manager and Dr. McWilliam's assistant, Azusa also handles logistics for the Home- and Community-Based Early Intervention program.

Family Advisory Board

A family advisory board, chaired by a family member, will meet 4-6 times each year to provide input to the program.
