Classroom Teacher (Certified)

Siskin Children’s Institute is accepting applications for a Classroom Teacher providing an inclusive early childhood educational environment that is characterized by a family centered philosophy, utilization of recommended practices and an interdisciplinary team approach.  The classroom teacher plans and implements the Individualized Educational Program/Individual Family Service Plan for each child with special needs in the classroom and implements peer protocol for typically developing students assigned to classroom. Performs duties as Case Manager; coordinates related services and performs other Service Coordinator/Case Manager responsibilities as specified. This position reports directly to the Director of Early Learning Center. 

Ideal candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college in Early Childhood Education or Special Education, possesses or is eligible for a Tennessee State Teacher's License with the appropriate endorsement.  Degree in Special Education is preferred.  Bilingual in Spanish desired.  Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a consistent, well-structured classroom to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the students.  Exhibits excellent communication and organizational skills.
