Speech Language Pathologist- AAC, Autism Focus

We are looking for a passionate and energetic pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team to work with children from 18 months up to 12 years of age. The SLP will be responsible for delivering family-centered care including evaluation services and the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans. The SLP will also be responsible for appropriate documentation and communication with the child’s interdisciplinary team. The SLP will also provide clinical supervision for Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA).
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
License/Certification/Registration: Required -- Valid Tennessee license in speech pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience working exclusively with the pediatric population and children with autism spectrum disorder and behavioral challenges secondary to communication difficulties. Interest in augmentative and alternative communication, social skills development, and autism evaluations. Interest in working within an interdisciplinary setting and approach to evaluation/treatment.
Preferred (but not required)
Experience/Skills: Prior therapeutic experience with Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), evaluations for augmentative and alternative communication and request to obtain DME, experience in treating childhood apraxia of speech. Spanish-English bilingual proficiency welcomed.
