What Is Emotion Regulation Therapy?
Emotion Regulation Therapy is a specialized Occupational Therapy service that supports individuals with understanding, identifying, and influencing their emotions. This new therapy service offering is designed and based on an evidence-based program called Regulation Beats, developed by Noah Perales.
The program allows children of all abilities to complete music-making activities that exercise communication, mindfulness, empathy, attention, regulation strategy, and emotion regulation skills. If your child has large reactions to small problems, struggles to describe their feelings, resists enduring difficult tasks, has trouble navigating peer conflict, and/or finds it challenging to make helpful decisions in emotional situations, they will benefit from emotional regulation services.
Individuals with limited English proficiency will have access to free interpretation and translation services.
