Dr. Ferreira is a Developmental Pediatrician, specializing in evaluating and providing counsel and treatment plans for children and families with a wide variety of developmental and behavioral concerns, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, complex ADHD, learning disorders, speech and language disorders, intellectual disability, developmental delays, and behavioral disorders.
Dr. Ferreira earned her medical degree from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. As a medical student, she fell in love with the field of Pediatrics especially serving children in underserved communities. Dr. Ferreira completed her pediatrics residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago followed by a fellowship in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where she participated in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program. Dr. Ferreira has been involved in projects to help increase developmental disabilities and autism awareness within the Hispanic community in Cincinnati and Chicago, where she worked after finishing her fellowship. In addition, she has participated in national conferences presenting topics related to racism and adverse childhood experiences, as well as in medical education, teaching pediatrics residents and medical students. Dr. Ferreira is a member of the Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
